Users move to "channel 0" (lobby) in UI when they adjust their comment

Description

Expected behaviour: When a user changes their comment it should keep the user within their original channel.

Actual behaviour: When a user changes their comment it moves them to "channel 0". The audio of the user is still audible but the UI acts as though the user has moved to another channel. The following is indicated in the terminal:

"updating user id 204: danny in channel 0"
