When I try to install it from the website I'm now getting Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libasound2 (>> 1.0.22). So I tried it a different way and I've added all the repositories listed and have tried to installed it a few different ways. Up until recently I have had no issues, just seems that I am now having an issue with the new release.
When i try to install from Synaptic Package Manager, I get the following…
mangler:
Depends: libasound2 (>1.0.22) but 1.0.20-3ubuntu6.1 is to be installed
Depends: libatk1.0-0 (>=1.29.3) but 1.28.0-0ubuntu1 is to be installed
Depends: libcelt0-0 (>=0.7.1) but it is not installable
Depends: libfontconfig1 (>=2.8.0) but 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 is to be installed
Depends: libglibmm-2.4-1c2a (>=2.24.0) but 2.22.1-2 is to be installed
Depends: libgtkmm-2.4-1c2a (>=1:2.20.0) but 1:2.18.2-1 is to be installed
mangler-devel:
Depends: libasound2 (>1.0.22) but 1.0.20-3ubuntu6.1 is to be installed
Depends: libatk1.0-0 (>=1.29.3) but 1.28.0-0ubuntu1 is to be installed
Depends: libcelt0-0 (>=0.7.1) but it is not installable
Depends: libfontconfig1 (>=2.8.0) but 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 is to be installed
Depends: libglibmm-2.4-1c2a (>=2.24.0) but 2.22.1-2 is to be installed
Depends: libgtkmm-2.4-1c2a (>=1:2.20.0) but 1:2.18.2-1 is to be installed
and it's saying Could not mark all packages for installation or upgrade

Note that if you're getting this issue trying to install from the 1.2.0 deb packages on the download page, it's probably because you're not using 10.04.
If you're using an old version of Ubuntu, follow the link and install the debs for your version:
"The Debian packages are built on Ubuntu 10.04. For older versions of debian/ubuntu/mint/etc, download the debs from the PPA."

Yea when I try to install the older versions is when I'm getting Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libasound2 (>> 1.0.22).
so I tried to install libasound2 and I get this….
Error: Breaks existing package 'lib32asound2' dependency libasound2 (= 1.0.20-3ubuntu6.1)

I am running 9.10 and get the same error as well. I tried to install from Synaptic and this is what pops up:
I admit I have no idea how to install from site. Is there anyone that can give me a rundown on the specific steps to take to get it from the website seeing as how going through Synaptic is not seeming possible at this point. Thank you in advance.

I've tried to install it from both the site and package manager.. neither worked
So I found an older version and installed that, works fine now.
*Note* I've been too lazy to go and get an USB mouse (which I did today) and now installed 10.04
So I installed the new version of Mangler, having no problems…
Pretty sad that 10.04 doesn't support the use of PS/2 Mouse or Keyboard. You "MUST" have a usb keyboard and mouse, if not they will stop responding.
On a side note… the new World of Warcraft patch 3.3.5, once again Blizzard has messed up WoW for linux users

The mouse thing is a bug in Xorg version 1.7. I've submitted a patch against the Ubuntu Xorg package. Until they fix it, I've packaged it in my own PPA here:

Hello everyone, I have been trying to get Mangler installed on Ubuntu 9.10. Followed the links to the PPA, and selected to install the i386 version for Karmic, but still recieve the aforementioned error. However it appears that all the links are pointing to the newer release of Mangler (1.2.0?) and I have not been able to find a working link for the version that is available for Ubuntu 9.10. Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.

Gives me the same error of libasound2 dependency not satisfiable (>> 1.0.22) which if I am not mistaken is only present in the 10.04 release of Ubuntu. My version is currently only 1.0.20

That's strange.
If you add the PPA to your software sources and install, does that work?
System -> Administration -> Software Sources
Click the "Other Software" tab.
Click Add
Put in this line: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mangler/mangler/ubuntu karmic main
Then, from a terminal, run: sudo apt-get install mangler
Please let me know if that works.

same as above

Thanks tons ekilfoil =D. If I wasnt required by WoW to use 9.10 (in other words I havent figured out how to make it work in 10.04) I would be willing to do more troubleshooting or testing for ya. Oh for the days that blizz makes a linux native client (can you tell im holding my breath?)
