Hello,
I've tested both Mangle 1.0.1 and SVN build too under Ubuntu 9.10 and it works quite well.
My only problem is the "push to talk" feature. If I setup a key to push when I want to talk, all work fine.
For example I press "\\" and I can talk and people hear me. But if I disable the "push to talk" I expect not to have to press a key to be heard. While actually my microphone is disabled. The only way to be able to talk is enabling "pusk to talk" and pressing the configured key.
Is this a wanted feature or is this a bug?
Thanks for your help!

If you disable mouse and keyboard push to talk, your only option in 1.0.1 is to use the GUI's transmit button…
I think what you're looking for is voice level detection for transmit. This is available in the latest unstable SVN and the snapshot that we're releasing tonight.

1.2 will be released this month or next month. Until then, you can use the developer snapshot packages.

But.. the developer snapshot doesn't contain that functionality yet… should I compile a new package by myself starting from SVN code?
