There seems to be a length limit of 16 characters on the password field when entering the connection settings for a new server. The server I need to connect to has a 17-character password. I can't store the password in a server entry, but I can Quick Connect to it. (The Quick Connect dialog does not have a 16-character length limit for the password.)

Alrighty, there's a quick fix for a workaround until it gets rolled in…

First, checkout a copy from svn:
svn co http://svn.mangler.org/mangler/trunk

Next, open up trunk/src/manglerui.h
Go to line 949 (or search for [i]serverListPasswordEntry[/i])
Under the property name "max length", change the value from 16 to 31
Save

Now, in the Trunk folder, run [i]
./configure
[/i]
Then[i]
make;sudo make install
[/i]
That'll fix you right up.

Thanks for the quick reply! As an alternative to recompiling from source, I found that I can also open up ~/.manglerrc and change

serverlist.0.password=

to fix the password to what it needs to be. The client seems to handle longer passwords just fine, if the UI didn't arbitrarily limit the length. I look forward to seeing the UI limit fixed in an upcoming release.
