Been out of the Linux world for a bit so I am kinda rusty. My apologies if I don't act so smart about some things. ;)

Basically I have Mangler setup to use my "Button9" on my mouse.

This however does not work at all. It refuses to recognize me pressing said button with Mangler in focus and out of focus.

Keyboard PTT works just fine as does the "Transmit" button.

The mouse I have is the "Microsoft Sidewinder X8".

Ubuntu 10.04 LTS – "The Lucid Lynx".

Any other information needed, just ask away.

I appoligize for resurrecting this thread, but I am new to Linux/Ubuntu, and I am having the same problem with PTT using a mouse under mangler.  I have gone through the processes for adding the PPT to my Ubuntu 10.04 system, but I'm not sure if the patch was actually _applied_ or not.  The instructions I followed were for 9.10 and were at:

This seemed to have worked, but PTT still does not work in Mangler.  I am trying to use a side button on my mouse (8 or 9 according to xev) but I can't get anything, even using 1, 2, or 3.

Is there a possibility that the 10.04 xorg-server pgk is somehow "newer" than the patch which was based on 9.10 and therefore not being applied?
