Love the application so far, it really comes in handy.

I have an
HTC Incredible and the first version I installed, which I think was the
last Alpha was working very well, however, I just installed the latest
update, which I think is the first beta, and there are issues with my
voice transmission. Before it was pretty clear without any issues, now
with the latest version it is a bit laggy, sounds way too staticy, and I
get a really bad echo.

Is there any way to fix this? I even tried forcing the 8khz transmit but still the same problem.

I have not yet upgraded to 2.2, so I am still running 2.1. I was also connected to 3G, I have yet to try it on Wi-Fi. When I tried it in the Alpha version I was also on 3G and did not have a problem.

And to get that version of the app on my phone do I just visit that link using my phone's browser?

I just tried it with the version that you sent me. It still appears to have a smiliar problem, but not nearly as bad as with the beta one. The beta one seems as though the PTT is staying on longer than it should and the echo is worse, even though I am still getting a slight echo even on the Alpha version.

Also, it seems that voice quality of other people talking to the phone is way clearer in the beta version.

The quality of the voice being transmitted to the phone could be a bit better, but I think that might just be because I am not in that great of a signal area. But with that test one you just had me try it definitely is a lot less staticy and doesn't really have a noticeable echo like the other versions.

I mean, there is definitely a bad echo if you leave the push to talk held down after you're done talking, but as long as you toggle it off after you are done talking it sounds perfect.
