I am randomly unable to connect to any Ventrilo servers using Mangler. Everything was working fine yesterday, and I'm pretty certain the problem is on my end; there are other people in all the other servers I try to connect to. When I try to connect, I just get "Connecting…" and then nothing happens. The app doesn't freeze, but it doesn't tell me it failed to connect. The only message I get whenever I try to connect to any of these servers is this:

 

libventrilo3: 11:47:01.113486:     Checking server license.

Does anyone have any idea why I am having this issue?

In a terminal, do:

mangler 2>mangler.log

 

then enable these debug options under Settings/Debug:

  • Network Status Events
  • Error Messages
  • Stack Info
  • Packet Dumps
  • General Info

and try to connect to a server.

 

If you can connect to a server, you may undo this procedure.  If you can't, then while trying to connect to a server, do a Ctrl-C in said terminal and dump the mangler.log contents to a collaborative debugging tool like pastebin.com.

That's very strange.  Go back to the debug settings and enable everything except for encrypted packet dumps.  Try connecting again and pastebin the new log file.
