Mangler rocks! In fact, we install it by default in the Vinux distro, which is Linux for the vision impaired. However, we also would like to connect to Murmur/Mumbler servers (Murmur is the server, but most people call it Mumbler, which is actually the client). The mumbler client is good, but not accessible to the blind in Linux because it's built with QT. Also, it would be nice to just have one client that could connect to both. Mangler is highly accessible, and the blind love it. As you can probably guess, applications like this are very important to the blind. Skype on Linux is also not very accessible, so we don't really have any good voice chat solution. Also, we're hoping to add voice chat to our remote support application, and I'd like to us a murmur server.
Is there any chance that support for murmur servers could be added to mangler? Would that chance increase if I could find a couple blind programmers who would be interested in helping?
Thanks!
Bill

First of all, this post makes me happy :) At least Mangler is useful in some way.
I'm not speaking for all Mangler developers, but I'm afraid we're going to have to disappoint. I don't think we'll ever be seeing Mumble support in Mangler.
I'm completely clueless as to the current state of Qt's screenreader support, but your best bet may be to branch Mumble and write a GTK frontend for it.
Good luck.

I do believe you missed the point the OP was making.

i would like to see support for connecting to murmur servers as well, and i'm not even blind. i just like to install as little software as necessary on my computers, so one program that did both would be great.
