Hey. It is not possible to connect to any Ventrillo server.
Errormessage: could not authenticate server: timed out waiting for auth server

There shouldn't be any obvious bugs with the connection process.

Mangler 1.0.1 works fine with servers that support ventrilo version 3.0.
On servers running only with version 2.1 mangler refuses to connect.

I get the same problem connecting to ventrilo2.dfw.powervs.com:5044, the Ventrilo official client connects perfectly to it.
I'm running mangler-1.1.20100227 snapshot on OpenSuse 11.2, compiled only with alsa support.

WordPress ate my post.

The thing is, I tried 3 times before it worked, I got in, talked to some friends, then I pressed the close button(I thought it would minimize to tray), then I started Mangler again, and I couldn't connect since then.
One thing I noticed, that domain name connects to multiple IPs, I've seen 224.230.187.0, 16.38.0.168 and 32.239.185.0. Maybe it connected once to one server when it worked. I don't know which one.
Is there a way to increase the time out for the auth server response?
[b]Edit: Good news everyone, this time Mangler connected to 74.86.8.195:5044, and it's now working![/b]

Doesn't sound like a Mangler issue (more like DNS), but you can set the correct IP in the server configuration instead of the domain name. That'll solve it until they put the ventrilo server on a machine with a different IP (hopefully never).
