I am trying to install from the .deb using gdeb, which has worked fine on other machines, but I get an error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libglibmm-2.4-1c2a
I reinstalled that library with synaptic and it did not help. The machine I am trying to use is the old asus eee 701 4G.
Thank you for any help! I love using mangler on two other machines where it installed without a hitch, it is a wonderful app!

Hey. Are you using Ubuntu 9.04 or newer? I believe mangler is only supported on those versions.
If its an old netbook, I can recommend the karmic ubuntu netbook remix (that's 9.10). Works good on my friend's little eeepc from a while back.

8.10 is what is on there currently. I will run the upgrade and hope it still works, then try again. Thx for your response.

Upgrading to the latest release resolved the issue. Thanks again to the dev team.

Note that if you're getting this issue trying to install from the 1.2.0 deb packages on the download page, it's probably because you're not using 10.04.
If you're using an old version of Ubuntu, follow the link and install the debs for your version:
"The Debian packages are built on Ubuntu 10.04. For older versions of debian/ubuntu/mint/etc, download the debs from the PPA."
