Well first of all very special thanks to the Mangler Team. Great work on a longtime waited program :)

Some System Informations:

OS: SuSE 11.2

KDE 4.3.5

Pulse Audio installed but i get an error message at the startscreen that pulse audio is not working and that my system will switch to HDA analog. I installed mangler from the openSuSE repositories http://www.download.opensuse.o…..nSUSE_11.2. The installation works fine via Yast without any errors. The version Yast installed is 1.0.1-2.1.

I can connect to any kind of Vent server but i can not hear my mates or can speak to them. In the setting section under the audio part i have no chance to change the Input/Output Devices the only choice i can get is "Default". What should i do to get some sounds in/from my speakers and/or my mic??

Music, Vidz and everything else works great

I take a screen from manglers audio settings hopefully that will help.

Would you rather use PulseAudio or ALSA? The developer snapshot/trunk has ALSA abilities.

So here i am again :-)

In case that im a newbie @ linux i decided myself to get the snapshot version from the SuSE repositories. I found the http://download.opensuse.org/r…..nSUSE_11.2 (its the 1.1.20100116 version) and installed it with yast. What i could see is that i now have ALSA support. But my Problem is still the same: i cant hear or talk from/to someone.

I go to the "multimedia-systemeinstellungen" section and figured out which hardware plays the music "test" sound. The only one which plays the testsound was the HDAATI SB: ALC1200 Analog (PulseAudio also played it but i recieved these error message i was talking in my entry posting). So i go to the setting section at mangler and changed the Input / output devices also to HDAATI SB: ALC1200 Analog. But my problem is still alive :-)

Maybe my screen helps more than my crap english

If you're going to use ALSA, you need to use the device labeled "Default" so it'll use the dmix interface (unless your sound card has hardware mixing… which i'm pretty sure yours doesn't).  If you have no sound when using the "Default" option, your ALSA dmix configuration needs to be modified to use the correct device.
