If two people speak the first one to start transmitting is the only one I can hear. Anyone else have this problem and fix it?

I assume you're using ALSA, and I assume you've selected something other than default for your output device….

Either use the Default output device or configure ALSA properly so your output device uses the dmix interface (or use PulseAudio so you don't have to dick around with such things).
