I just tried r912 and the alpha just posted on a Moment running 2.1 and got the same force close just after it connects to a server.
I know it actually makes the connection because the server shows me logging in when I launch and then logging out when I accept the FC dialog.

Would there be a possibility for us to connect to your server? You don't have to put the details out here in public (just talk to some developer on IRC). I can't reproduce this behavior on a 2.1 AVD on our testserver.
Try to see if it works on vent.mangler.org, port 9047

The connection worked to the server you gave me. I found a test server that gives the same error (listed below). I'm in the process of installing a vent server locally to do further testing of server settings.
dal20.cgservers.com:2000
Edit: My guild server is a typefrag server on WIN32 running 3.0.3.C using Speex at 32KHz, 16 bit, 10… (window size cuts off that last listing)
home server running GSM 6.10 up and causes same error. Available at 74.195.238.208:11901 temporarily, using default vent setup
Edit2: Trying to talk on vent.mangler causes a force close as well.

Both of those servers work for us. This seems to be specific to that particular phone. We're going to need backtraces in order to debug this. Unfortunately, we don't have a method of automatically collecting the crash report, so you (or anyone else) will have to wait until alpha2 to provide us with that data…

If there's anyway to currently any way to get a proper crash report that someone can give a guide for I'll be happy to crash the app some more to get them. Otherwise, You'll definitely get some from me come alpha2.
Thanks for all the work you guys are putting into this, it's looking awesome so far and would be amazing to have, even if there's issues with a particular model of phone. I'd like to get my guild to use Mumble and 'never use your software… ever', but what can ya do.

so i have the samsung moment android 2.1 and this new beta verison does everything but allow for me to talk. when i use the push to talk button it says. unsupported recording hardware for 32000hz. i was wondering if there is anything to be done to fix this issue.
