Well, i've read around on the puppy forums, and there are a few ppl who are trying to get it working on puppy linux.

…now…what i have seen is that when ppl attempt to get mangler working with puppy its only missing a few libs– libgtkmm-2.4.so.1 — libgiomm-2.4.so.1

….and..one can be found..the other..is only in an rpm…  Puppy isnt used for modern games..ofc…although the version i am running has tons of emualtors…from snes ..to psx…and atari..all types of shit…but i need vent…on this pc…I am surpirsed no 1 from the puppy scene has not made a .pet or .pup for Mangler yet…but if it is only missing a few libs…im sure some 1 who knows wut the hell they are doing…would be able to compile a version in 5 minutes.  So…if u could…please make a .pet or .pup for Mangler.  Thank you.

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy    <— forums..if u need info (was tryna find a thread about maken ur own .pet or .pup..but google failed me…)

Really hope you guys can do this….as it should be simple and many ppl would appreciate it.  And i like puppy..its lightweight..fast…good shit…im downloading ubuntu right now….and ….i dont want to lol….but i need vent..so hopefully u guys can come up with somen b4 i give in 2 ubuntu. ( i tried so submit a ticket..for my version…of linux..but it says im not logged in lol..when i try…fyi..)

thx

You'll need to talk to your distribution's maintainers to get gtkmm.  Mangler will not work without it.  We're not puppy linux maintainers, so this is a distribution issue.  Alternatively, you can build gtkmm from source yourself.  I have no clue how difficult that is, because every major distribution includes it in their package repos.

i got it to work in lucid puppy using debian packages, i'm not exactly a linux pro but hey whatever works you know

if you're using lucid puppy or any of the puppys that can install debian packages then you should be good…

i know it's not too technical but i'm just happy that it works well

also i'd like to take this chance to high five the dev team, this program has been useful as hell to me since it came out.
