I started duel booting but my primary OS is Windows 7 so I'm curious if there's anyway possible to test a windows version of Mangler? Or your going to wait till 1.2 is done for linux first before releasesing anything for Windows?
Thanks. Looking to rid of Ventrilo.
Havn't had any problems with 1.2 beta on Ubuntu 10.04. Works better than Ventrilo/Wine.

Me too, i'd love to help alpha or beta test the client, please let me know how I can help, I have windows 7 and windows XP professional,
64bit for windows 7 and 32bit for windows XP I think it will be important to test it on as many platforms as possible. I also have access to windows 7 home premium, windows XP home, and windows 7 home OEM. (I'm a reseller) I can get pretty much any windows OS all the way up to windows server 2008 for testing purposes, god knows why someone would want to run it on a server platform, but if it runs on that it should technically run on anything right?

I really wonder how the Mangler team has managed to come up with a quality product, package it with the most obviously sarcastic web site, testimonials, and project motto; and make fun of the Ventrilo team's 'linux client' page and still have so many people on this forum completely miss the point.

I wouldn't say completely miss the point… By all means i understand this is linux based operation, but i would be greatly interested in a windows client… I am trying to create a music bot within vent that will detect when someone is speaking and lower the volume… however i can only get this to work if only one user from my pc is on the server… running two clients doesn't solve the issue either… i actually need a client seperate from ventrilo to do this…. currently i have to use my laptop to run the bot and my desktop to speak… an ugly workaround imo, and this would solve it.

I'm sorry. I simply will not accept complaints that our Linux client is better than the Windows client. You shouldn't be using this software in the first place. I understand your frustration, but if you want innovation and features, you should be looking for solutions other than Ventrilo.
We wrote that jukebox client (which does exactly what you're looking for) simply because we were bored one night. I'm sorry you're stuck in the Windows world, but your request is simply not even on our radar at this time.
Rest assured, however, that the Windows version is "Pending Release."

hah, im a user of both worlds, and i appreciate what youre doing… i try to use both environments for what they are good at, just some of my friends don't follow suit, so sometimes you gotta cater. By all means, keep on keepin on.

when he says pending release its a play on words like how ventrilo forums have had a linux section which has said pending release for years
