Hi im new here and i just recieved my droid x yesterday and downloaded mangler.

everytime i talk it crackles and i don't know whats wrong. i tried the newest betas and old alphas.

does anyone know how to fix this?

sometimes if i move the phone away when i talk its fine for a second then it messes up

i can hear everything clearly though

You should probably ask how to configure your Mic as the default input device on the Ubuntu forums.

Anyone know where I could get this or how I could get mangler working on slackware?

The quality of the voice being transmitted to the phone could be a bit better, but I think that might just be because I am not in that great of a signal area. But with that test one you just had me try it definitely is a lot less staticy and doesn't really have a noticeable echo like the other versions.

I mean, there is definitely a bad echo if you leave the push to talk held down after you're done talking, but as long as you toggle it off after you are done talking it sounds perfect.

I just tried it with the version that you sent me. It still appears to have a smiliar problem, but not nearly as bad as with the beta one. The beta one seems as though the PTT is staying on longer than it should and the echo is worse, even though I am still getting a slight echo even on the Alpha version.

Also, it seems that voice quality of other people talking to the phone is way clearer in the beta version.

Oops, the forum mangled the link. It's fixed now. Yes, just visit that link with the phone browser and it will download it, once it's downloaded, click it in the notifications and it will install.

I have not yet upgraded to 2.2, so I am still running 2.1. I was also connected to 3G, I have yet to try it on Wi-Fi. When I tried it in the Alpha version I was also on 3G and did not have a problem.
