New features/fixes in beta3 include:
- Support for various character encoding settings. Default is standard Latin1 (ISO-8859-1) Others include West/East European, Japanese, Hebrew, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Chinese, and Thai

Using a Samsung Epic 4g. Had to force 8kHz in order to sound decent…without it one of my friends described the sound coming through my microphone as “one of the two worst things that’s ever happened to me in my life”.
Other than that, everything else words great, very impressed with this app. Would be nice for some fixes for samsung’s new phones, but no real complaints!

I’m very excited to see this app out, and for free! I have tested it out on my G1, and the sound quality is pretty damn awesome! I didn’t have the bug with the 8khz, i didn’t even have to touch the thing! The only bad thing is that it broadcasts a tad laggy, but that’s to be expected, of course, it’s the oldest android phone out there! Great job!

Just got my HTC Desire a couple days ago. I downloaded Mangler and didn’t have a single problem.

android app works awsome on Cliq XT untill someone else tryes to talk while im talking then it freezes and wont work again untill i restart my phone

For the Cliq XT it seems it may be something with the phone itself. I tried Ventriloid also and it freezes when someone talks at the same time as me as well. Anyone got an idea on how to resolve this?

I love it! I was on ventrilo for over an hour with no problems. It is a great app.

G’day, long time user of Mangler and must say I love it. Trying it out on Android, and have one small (maybe not so small) bug with it. It all works fine, unless I have my Blueant T1 connected. With this on, I can transmit fine but as soon as it recieves anything (anyone else transmits) It crashes the Mangler client on Android. Happens on both my Samsung Galaxy Tab and my HTC Desire.
Other than that it works great, just wanted to inform you of this bug.

Darkstar, I have the exact same experience. If my earpiece (Aleph Jawbone ERA) is connected using A2DP protocol, Mangler/Ventriloid still use the speakerphone and I can speak, but as soon as someone else speaks it FCs the app. I’m using Samsung Epic 4g.
I’ve confirmed that if I disable A2DP protocol then the app works just fine (over speakerphone).
Same story for a friend of mine using the Epic with his VoyagerPro earpiece.
It seems like A2DP protocol renders the app useless, which is a bummer.
